Hello Bloggers,

It's been a few weeks since my last post I know, I know. I am just going to show case a card and envelope I made using our latest sponsor Thebearyscrap! So like I was saying in my last post, I had decided to go Au Naturale...lol. Well let me tell you, this is not easy what so ever! But, I am sticking with it, I have met quite a few people that are so knowledgeable and so willing to help me and have given me great websites and tips. My whole goal is not to cut all of my hair off, like so many. I love my length and not quite (or ever) ready to be bald. LOL! Once I get my hair in a decent hairstyyle, I will post a pic. Hopefully soon.

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to let you all know that we have an awesome challenge going on right now over at The Shoe. The challenge is being sponsored by Kenny K Downloads!

I haven't been scrapping much for a couple of reasons. 1- getting used to three kids that all crave mommys attention at once, lol. 2- My scrap room has been looking like....well like nothing since I could barely see it for al the disarray it was in. So my mom in law and I took it for action and it is back at a 95% workable condition. I was able to whip this up with being surrounded by clutter.

The meaning behind this project is this: I have decided to let my hair be natural. For those who do not know what this means, I am not going to put anymore harsh chemicals in my hair. These chemicals that used to straighten my hair. I have plenty of reasons for doing this which I will share in future post along with transition photos. This will not be an easy task, but I am willing to say that I did try and maybe encourage others that have been on the brink of trying, but could not pull themselves to do so.

Greetings from a Full House

Its been a long time since I have posted, lol with a new baby and a full time job, it's hard. I so envy those that can do it or find the time. Every time, I think I can and try to sit down, either Kennedy is crying or Nya and Morgan are fighting (brother/sister love, lol).

Lets see what's new? I have to update you all and I guess my blog stalkers also, lol. Morgan is now ten, Nya is now four (and gets to start school this up coming Tuesday) and Kennedy is 6 months old. Time is sure

flying by!

I am also going back to Sea Duty in March :( So I'm trying to spend as much time with them as I can now. But at least it is only for two years. I am on Shore duty now, and thought it would be so much easier, which it is easier, but throw a newborn into the mix, and you know the rest, lol.

Thought I would post a few photo shoots my kiddos did with an awesome photographer from this past past Spring and this Summer.

Our New Addition

This is going to be a quick post tonight, of course because I am tired, lol. We had our new addition Kennedy arrive Friday the 18th at 10:00 exactly. She was 9lbs 7oz and 21 inches long. OMG, she is just a precious as she wants to be and her brother and sister are just in love with her!!

I actually went into the hospital Thursday night to be induced and I ended up going into labor on my own with anything! So it was her time to come anyway, lol. We ended up being in the hospital for 5 days!! I was so ready to come home and sleep in my own bed. My poor baby had to go through phototherapy because her (jaundice) bilirubin levels were high. Phototherapy is where they are exposed to special ultraviolet lights until excessive bilirubin has been destryed and the liver matures enough to handle the load. It was awful having her under this thing with a blindfold on to protect her eyes, for almost two days. She cried, and I would pick her up comfort her, feed her, but then back she had to go.

Kennedy is good now, and we have been home for a few days and she is fitting in quite well, lol.

Valentines Recipe for Love

New Challenge over at "The Shoe"!

Yeah, I am late posting this, lol, but thats alright. We have a new challenge up for you over at If The Shoe Fits...Scrap It! Make sure you check that out, all you have to do is make a "Fashionista Friday #63 - You've got a friend" Themed craft. That's it, very simple, lol.

Back again! This time for real, lol, maybe

Hello everyone,

So I have been MIA for some time now, 6 months to be exact! LOL, well all for a good reason, for those who do not
know I am 8 months preggo and will be expecting a baby girl on the 21st of February. I actually just started feeling better recently due to my body and pregnancy have never meshed well together, lol. But, this will certainly be my last. I feel so grateful though, that my kids will have each other. I grew up an only child and I did not want that for my son, so now he will have two sisters, lol!

Okay enough with that. On IFTHESHOEFITSSCRAPIT we have a new challenge this week. Use Ribbon! We have a couple of samples up for you, but I know everyone will do great.

We have a few things coming up in the near future, so keep an eye out for that post on the challenge blog as well as on my blog here!

I would like to thank those that have been patient with me, because being preggo at 33 is no walk in the park!!

No Title Needed

Hello,

It's been a long time I know. As you know I had a short 3 month deployment, then we had a huge inspection when returned as well as a follow up to the inspection. So my once normal working hours had increased to 12+ hours at work. I have sleep apnea, so this does not make it any better, so I have been super tired and had not been able to open up a scrap anything, as much as I really wanted to. I was on a design team and just could not do anything, I was going to drop, but she got me first, lol. Made things a lot easier. Wish her blog all the best!

So whats going on with me? My husband is finally moving down with me and the kids(after living in separate states for two years) Yay!! His job was just a lot better where he was. But, being all together will be a lot better. Plus I know he is tired of the commute every single weekend.

Lets see...after a few weeks of neglecting our own challenge blog and months of neglecting my spot here, I finally have something to post, lol. This was a card I did with an image from Robin's Fetish Stamps. It' s called "A Little Birdie Told Me". Make sure to stop by to see what other stamps she may have for your stamping fetish!

Well, in closing I just ask that everyone is patient with me, lol. I will be leaving for 7 months real soon, it's going to very hard for me to be with out my family and I will be in a new job actually working on the flight deck (Very Scary). I just ask for your prayers and for my safe return. In the meantime I will try and update more often and I will definitely post before I leave for deployment. I may have to email my husband my blog post and teach him how to update for me, lol (yeah right)! Have a great week!

Home Sweet Home

Hey everyone!

I finally made it home last night around 8:30, we pulled into San Diego and flew back to Virginia Beach. It was a great home coming! I was so glad to see my family, who waiting on me with a huge bouquet of yellow roses (which I know mean friendship, but are my absolute favorite).

I will still not be around the of the week too much, as my hubby and I are taking a much needed vacation to the Poconos for about four days. We went a few years ago for our anniversary, and we are going this year again for the same reason, even though I missed our anniversary for being out to sea. It was April 3rd.

Thank you so much Penny for the beautiful card you sent me, I will definitely have to set a trip down that way after my deployment next year! The card came right on time, because it was coming near the end and I was feeling like it was never going to end.

This trip was crazy! We first set sail thinking we were just going to hit a few ports and go to California and come home. But God had other plans for us, as we were called to help the people of Haiti after the devastating earthquake. This was one of my proudest moments of being in the military. Because we were the first to respond (USS CARL VINSON) and make such a huge impact and save so many lives! So many people came together in different ways. We had people filling up tons of jugs of water as well as dropping off food and bringing people back to the ship to perform emergency surgery.

After a few weeks of being out there, we set sail to Rio De Janeiro, then to Lima Peru. I will update later on those places with pictures when I can.

Just wanted to let everyone know I was home safe and hope to get some scrapping done soon after spending some much needed time with my family.

Gone on Deployment

Hello everyone,

sorry once again it has taken me so long to update. Well, as some know, I got promoted to E-6, so with that came more responsibility. So I have been at work most of my time getting ready to leave my family for almost 3 1/2 months. :(

If anyone would like the address of the ship I will be on, Tracey and Leslie from IF THE SHOE FITS SCRAP IT will have it. I am not sure of how well my email capabilities will be, and can't really discuss where I will be going. But will tell you about the places I got to visit when I return.

I want to say I will miss everyone, I have had the pleasure to meet and conversate with and hope you will continue to follow me as I will pick up when I return. Hopefully I will get to update while I am out. I have only packed my copics one ink pad and some paper as far as scrapping goes, lol. This is going to be a long 3 months!!

If you leave a comment, and I dont respond right away you will know why, lol. But, when and If I can I will. I will have to be on the ship tonight and we pull out in the morning.

Look forward to getting back and being with my family and looking at all the new projects that everyone will have created by then.

Hello Ladies, this is going to be real quick tonight, because the sandman is calling my name!

There is a great new challenge blog that I am on called Tellen's Place! You need to go there, she is giving away great images and you have a chance to win some! That's sound great, right? Well what are you waiting for, lol? This week's challenge was to to do a valentine type card (yes, valentine), who says there is no love in December? Another Day...Another Post

Before I start this post off with a bunch of jibber jabber, I want to strat out with an apology and a Thank You to Pam & Sue! I want to apologize for taking so long to get these up and want to thank you for giving me these great blog awards, I really do appreciate them!! I will announce next time I blog who I will pass these on to. Thank again ladies!

(Late insert)- This is an image that I got to play with over at Tellen's Place and you can receive one too if you head on over there! Today the 1st challenge has kicked off and guess what? There's prizes! So come show us some love, I can't wait to see what you come up with!!

So I am now in Maryland with my hubby, woo hoo! It's strange being here without my kiddos. Those that know me, know my situation. For those that have just recently started following my blog, I am in the Navy and my hubby is a civilian contractor, who commutes from Maryland to Virginia every weekend to see the kids and I. I have only driven up this way once since moving from here. So I am here taking a four day class about transitioning from Navy life to civilian life. They also teach you how to write a resume, prepare for a job interview and dressing for success. The class is also teaches you about what benefits you are entitles to when you separate. I am hoping & praying that I will have taken this class in vain and will not need these lessons for another 6 years. Waiting on test results to come back to let me know if I have made it to the next pay grade or not. If not, then these are lessons well learned.

So I would like to recap on a few things going on and create links so they do not get lost in the in the blog pile.

Okay, here is something that I was working on. I never have time to really work on anything for myself, unless it has something to do with a DT challenge. So I took some time to make a little card as well as practice my coloring at the same time. I had to prepare myself somehow for this weekend to come, lol! (Copic Certification Class) I also get to take some cool scrappy classes with my gal pals Tracey & Lesley in S.C.!

So anyway, here it is. Now for those experts out there, lol, don't be too harsh on my stamp coloring techniques, lol, I am still learning. There are so many of you talented women out there. So many that are really awesome at this, I hope to among that group of women soon!

Omg what a storm we have been having here! The winds have been
crazy, the bases have been closed and the kiddies out of school for the last couple of days! I had a tree on the side of my house fall, and have had a power outage for about 12 or so hours yesterday, the biggest part is hopefully over. Here are some pics I took today before work.

Buyer Beware!

Hello Everyone! I hope your week is going great so far as mine is off to a great start, my family and I are healthy and alive, what more could you ask for?

So let me bring out my somewhat bad news and life learning experience! I am so tired of telling this story, but it is one that must be told in order to keep my fellow scrappers and crafters safe from these scammers! I however usually never make purchases off the internet, because you never know who or what type of person is on the other end, meaning the smaller businesses. But I decided to give one (WHO IS NOT POSTED ON MY BLOG) a try.

I loved the concept this company had going and thought wow, her products seem really cool! So I made a small purchase for about 17.00 and some change, with tax and shipping totaled about 25.25. Not too much you say? Yeah, I could have filled my gas tank with it, lol, I have a small gas tank, lol!

Well I made this purchase back on the 3rd of August, and the bank charged me on the 10th of August. She sent me a message on her ning site stating that the kit was a September kit and would ship out on the 1st, if that was all right with me, (never stating at that time stuff was missing from kit, that why it could not ship). I told her that was fine, I could wait.

September 8th rolls around and I send her another message asking her if my kits have been shipped, I get no reply. I send another message the next day and she replies the day after with this message...and I quote.
"Tanisha-
IM SORRY I DIDNT GET BACK TO YOU RIGHT AWAY.THIS MONTH HAS BEEN CRAZY FOR ME-I JUST CAME BACK FROM NJ TO DROP MY SON OFF AT SCHOOL (HE DIDNT LIKE COLORADO TOO MUCH) SO HE GOING TO GO TO SCHOOL IN NJ THIS YEAR-SO IM HAVING ABIT OF WITHDRAWEL- AND TOMORROW IS THE 11TH AND I HAVE ALWAYS HAD A HARD TIME WITH THAT ONE-MY SINCEREST APOLOGIES.IM ACTUALLY WAITING FOR ONE PART OF THE KIT TO ARRIVE,ITS ON BACK ORDER AND AM EXPECTING IT TO ARRIVE HOPEFULLY BY THE END OF THIS WEEK-THE KITS ARE DEFINITELY SHIPPING NEXT WEEK.ITS BEEN KINDA UP AND DOWN WITH THE KITS THIS MONTH, NEXT MONTH WE ARE GOING TO BE INTRODUCING SMALLER SIZED KITS." (This is directly from a message she sent me in reply)

Well needless to say I never got my kit. So she posted this big huge explanation post about how they were featured in this online magazine and that they generated so much business for them and that why she did not have our stuff out, but that they would ship that Friday (yeah again).
Well Friday came and went, another Friday came and went...I called this lady that Saturday using my husbands cell phone, while he sat there and listened to her lie to me on speaker phone! She told me that my order shipped the Wednesday before (so 5 days after she said she would send to everyone) and that I should have my stuff that Monday or Tuesday(mind you it's Saturday, lol)

Well.......Guess what? I did not get my package. So I wrote comments asking if the stuff was going to ship, someone else added a comment, so I decided to contact her, to see what was going on on her end. She was pissed too! I added another comment, (wow, the DT deleted it) all I asked was if she could replace my missing item with something else since it was basically taking this damn special card stock that was made on mars to come in! (Not exactly in those words though).
She then sent us this long draw out email, you have to read it! If anyone is interested, I would be happy to forward it to you, email me and let me know, my address is up top.
I was told I had a store credit, added to my account, hmmm how so when my account had been deleted, showing all account history. So I make a new account, where the only thing I change is my home phone, because I had my cell on there and my new email addy. But I tried everything to get into the old account and could not. Forgot password: you just put your fist & last name name and your email addy, neither one worked, it did not know who I was!
I have contacted her once again on the phone(total:2x's) and she gives me this long confirmation number, that makes no sense. She says it's through USPS, and to take certain numbers out of it and that, that is the actual number..... what???? Well, you can guess that was just about as good as fan with no blades!
Omg!! I could go on and on.... I have saved a paper trail with this chick, on top of that
She is a criminal who has been arrested for credit card card fraud 4 times! Also have a link for that as well. Some gracious person was kind enough to research and find that out.
I have contacted the BBB and waiting to hear results back from that.

Since I have heard she has lost a few of her DT members, some have stayed. One in particular who has really surprised me, by "not feeling comfortable" being involved. Though the owner rips people off. I have proof! More power to you and your conscious.

Ladies, never buy from anyone you nothing nothing about unless you have good references for them such as friends, family, ie..

What a week, what a week! Long Post, grab coffee!

Omg! I tell you I have had the longest week ever! Everytime I felt I wanted to update my blog, I could feel the energy just drain from my body! I have so much I want to do in my head, but, when I think I have mustered up enough strength to do it, it fizzles out with the quickness. My body tells my head, "just lay down and go to sleep for awhile"!

Well anyway, I some very awesome news that I just have to share!! You know I have been posted my "bootleg" coloring, well I just wasn't too happy with it, but I understood you had to start somewhere. Soooo, I went to you tube, and various blogs looking for some instruction. Well, I stumbled upon the Sally Lynn's Blog and noticed she dates, dates for Copic Certification Classes! OMG! Well, I got a little discouraged, because I read that not everyone who applied would get in and that only, store owners, employees, CTMH or Stampin Up, etc..., even the freakin media, would be able to get before I. Well, after to speaking to Leslie, because it is being hosted in her home city, and at her local scrap booking store, I would give it a try. Well, I did not even get my hopes up high, but, it was a great feeling when I received that email saying my application had been accepted. So now, I wait, lol!! Plus on top of that, I get to take three great classes the day before that, with two of the bestest (yeah I said bestest, lol) friends I could ever ask for!! This time Tracey and I will travel down to Les, so she gets a break this time, lol!

Whew...okay, you may have noticed that I added a few banners on my side bar. Well it wasn't just for my health, you need to check them out seriously! Michelle of ThePixieCottage, Wendy of Digital Doodling & Karla of Karla Dudley Designs! These woman are so very friendly and sweet like you would not believe. When I first started blogging, I did not think it was possible to meet the people I have crossed paths with on here, because of earlier experiences, but I have met so many great people on here, with warm hearts and just plain funny as I don't know what!

So, our challenge blog has been doing extremely well, these past couple of months, I really encourage you, if you have not already to mosey on over there and check it out! You never know we may have a few surprises going on! Plus you can check out my lastest project, which is sooo not like me, but I actually did (2) 8.5 x 11 LO's! What is going on? So first I want to start this post out, by saying hello Tim, Love you (my hubby) in case he decides to read this tonight. He commutes every weekend from Maryland to see us, because of his job, it's hard but we manage. I only see him weekends, holidays and any vacations we may have. We have been doing this for about a year, so far we have not fell apart yet. I try to scrap during the week, so all my time is with him on the weekend, but between work, tae kwon do, working out, and other odds and ends on the weekday it gets so hard, lol! But I manage. So I am too happy when I am able to get stuff done, that is not our challenge blog (iftheshoefitsscrapit) related!

I want to say congrats and ask if you can please stop by Essensevibez page and congratulate her on getting published!! She made a toilet paper album that is just too cute!! I am proud for her. Check out her other works of art as well, such as her journal albums, they are stunning!! I told her she need to sell them! Don't you think she should???

So I was able to steal my laptop long enough to post this card, lol, and I am still being rushed to hurry up because we do need to go to the store, lol. So I am going to make this short, (hopefully) and sweet. I ordered this stamp from ThePixieCottage and I must say, this pic does not do it justice! Michelle carries many lines, as well as her own! Be sure to go over and check them out, the link to her store will be on the link above.

So I colored this image using Copic Markers in a mix with Bic Markers, I got the idea of the Bic markers from a friend Leslie, they work great! Now, I am not really good with them yet, but, I do plan on practicing a lot more in the future, as I only own FIVE Copics, lol!! This card was a rush job, so I could throw it up real quick and show you the stamp.

Christmas in September???

I know right? Well it's okay because this challenge came from Miss lesley over at Simply Scrapping! We were to do a christmas card and the the only stipulation was that we incorporate the color PINK in it. That was hard for me, because I definitely never associate pink and christmas together. That like mixing peanut butter and tomatoes together, ewwww! But I actually like how it came out, lol, even though I used the bare minimum.

Now there is a new blog I happened to stumble upon, The Pixie Cottage. They have some of the most fabulous stamps I have ever seen, some from their own line as well as some from other manufacturers.

So earlier this week, guess who I got to see. Jamie Foxx!!! A friend of mine and I went to see him at the Hampton Colleseum here in Virginia. They had a comedian come out first, (who was so hiliarious) and then the show began. let me tell you, he looks the exact same in person as he does on the screen. The show consisted of just him and his backup singers, which I would not be surprised if they came out with their own album. They could blow!

Over all the concert was great! I have been having a really great week over all, who could ask for more? I got to go to a Nascar race with some really great friends, I got to see Jamie Foxx and I got to see a great fight this weekend! Of course my man Floyd Mayweather brought it on home! Sorry if you are not a Mayweather fan, I know he is arrogant, but I thin khe has earned a right to be. Now I just need to here some DT news (hopefully good) and test resluts from an exam i took back early September and all will be good.

One For All & All For One! Adventures Of The New 3 Musketeers!

Sooooooo, I have went to my very first Nascar race and it was a trip!! I had so much fun, I can still hardly contain myself just writing this. most of you Nascar junkies probably know what I mean, those who don't, GO TO A RACE one time and I promise you will be hooked!

I even got to hug Tracey's man!! Micheal Waltrip. LOL!!! But she wasn't mad, because he hugged her first!!! He even knew who she was, she had to deliver the fan club binders to him.

First let me say to my girl Tracey, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Next thanks Tracey and Leslie Thank You for inviting me, though I was a little skeptic in the beginning, all doubts and have been quickly erased! My husband and my co-worker even got a chance to go and it was their first time as well!

Let me just say I think we were the luckiest people on earth that day!! We got to go to a post race celbration and actually get to talk to some of the drivers, such as Jeff Gordan, Mark Martin (who i have adopted as my driver, lol) and even Denny found time to come have answer some questions for us! now I say us, I mean about 160 of US, lol, but compared to how many people were actually at the race, those numbers are pretty damn good! Thanks to Tracey, her and les had already had VIP passes and such a funny story on how we scored 3 more with her phone and her shirt and me sweet talking the guy into getting one more! So make sure you check out her blog periodically, because she is sure to tell it! She has a pic of miss Sprint Cup pointing me out to Mark Martin!! I swear I was so nervous!!! What will I do at the Jamie Foxx concert later this week, lol!!

We sat up front, so I got excellent pics of the interviews! So as I update I will throw a few pics in. This was such a great experience, I am still in awe!

Well, the vacation is over! I have to return back to work tomorrow and I am still up, why? I still have much to do before I turn in. So, why is it I am always on here when I should be asleep! I have to be up to go get killed by my trainer at 9:30! Which, I guess isn't sooo bad, when I am usually up by 5:00 am to be ready for work, lol.

Anywho, I know I said I was going to post my pic today, well, I forgot and the day got away from me, I am definitely not going to take one now, lol, so probably tomorrow.

Now on to some scrapping! I have some stuff here that I did early and mid August, I had forgot all about them that quick, silly me. So here they are...

This kit was given to us by a great Sponsor we had over at Scrap-a-doodle-doo!I love the pic I did here to distress it, try using your photo program to make it look like an old photograph, then throw some crackle accent on it.

This one is self explainatory, all I am going to say, is that you will probably see a million LO's with her in this damn shirt! Elmooooo, Elmooooo! One of her favorite characters. Well of course I had to get this shirt for her, before leaving Disney World, probably would have been cheaper at Walmart!

This was in my (wannabe Anne Geddes) photography days, lmao!! I would buy her all kinds of hats and such and photograph here like crazy! Well this little hat, I thought was just too cute, only cost me a few bucks on ebay ( a great place to shop for baby clothes, sometime, lol). She is sitting in her little baby swing, probably waiting for this session to be over! Who says girls cant wear Green?!

This is my baby girl Nya, just a bunch of different random elements, its a shame I can't tell you by who, because I get sooo excited when I buy stuff I throw the wrappers away as soon as I use the product, lol.

The Time Travelers Wife

Wow! Is all I could say about this movie. Well... maybe not, the move was definitely a must see and with your significant other at that! Now if you liked The Butterfly Effect & The Lake House (definite chick flick) you will absolutely have to add this to your collection and time traveling movies.

In my opinion this topped The Butterfly Effect and is beating The Lake House by a finger nail! Not to mention eye candy (Eric Bana) shhhh... don't tell my husband, lol, is also starring in this movie. Now you do have to pay attention carefully, no matter how loud the stranger sitting next to you is chewing their popcorn in your ear. But, yeah, get everything you need before you sit down, because you don't want to miss a thing!!!

Okay now that my siskel & Roeper moment is over.....

I have other news, I have a person trainer now, yay me!!! Okay, maybe a little too excited right? Well, I joined the Navy at about 145, which was good for me at the time, I am 5' 7 so you see why I say that. Well, almost 12 years of marriage, two kids, 100 and so odd trips to any fast foodd chain you think of later, I have dropped and gained weight more than Oprah!

So, last week, I have told my self no more! I started going to the Gym, every other day faithfully and on off days I would go to this place we have here called Mt Trashmoore to walk (Fast Pace). So I have dropped five pounds so far. I am going to post my full body pic monday and will continue to do so in the same outfit (It will be clean, lol). This will be also to keep me motivated, can't post my pic here for the world to see me moving backwards, lol!

I hope that this will inspire others if they are having weight issues either with gaining or losing.

Alright, I will finally update my scrappy part of me tomorrow with some new projects that I have been working on. Easy like Sunday morning

Wow! The weekend has come and go so quickly. I swear it seems like the older I get, the faster time speeds up. Remember when the summer used to feel like a year? LOL. Well, anyways I am on this Sunday morning, enjoying DVR recorded episodes of Hawthorne. I must say this show is very entertaining on all levels and I hope they have some longevity on the air. Not to mention that Jada Pinkett Smith is one of my favorite actresses.

Now on a little less reality, a new show that is on the rise, that is on it's on it's second season, that you should really check out, is True Blood. Now I am not a big vampire freak, shoot, I could not even watch the howling for years, but True Blood, is a great show. It is romantic, suspenseful, and mysterious all in one. Every Sunday night there is a new episode, but you may want to check your On Demand for past episodes, and there are only 3 new one left.

Here is one of my recent LO's I have worked on (granted I have so little time to squeeze stuff in). I just love this pic of her, right after getting into some chocolate chip cookies! I swear that girl has a nose like a blood hound for them.

So, I am actually posting in less than a months time, wow, what is really going on? Anyways, I am taking a quick break from studying for my rating exam that I have to take in September. This is what is going to determine if I am going to even ever be able to scrap again. Yeah its that big of a deal. The test is September 6th and I can pass it all I want, I have to be to score high enough to advance. This is the very last time I can take this test. If I do not advance, I will be discharged from the Navy in February. So please keep me in your prayers, I definitely need them all.

Now to better news....Scrapbooking!!!!! It's just one project today, which you can also catch on our blog Iftheshoefits...scrapit! Where we give you prizes just for doing something you love!

Also be sure to check us out, because.....well, I can't tell you now, but let me just say we have a few changes coming up.

Okay so I have not done this in awhile. My random off topic rants.

Fast Food (which I need to stay clear of) - Why, oh why, is it that when you put in your order and it gets to you and it is wrong, it is YOUR fault? Even when you go in with the nicest attitude and just ask if they can make it correct, they prepare to beat you at getting mad? Note to self- STOP EAT FAST FOOD.

Clothes - Why is it that your clothes look so much cuter on you in the store than at home? Maybe I should plan all my outings at the store.

Last but not least, is Facebook not the most addictive thing right now? LOL, alright, Goodnight everyone!

Some New Projects

So I managed to get more stuff done, I just have had time to post to my own blog until now. I am thinking of making some good changes to my blog in a few months, so make sure you check back to see what they are.
Okay sooooo, since I have last posted my laptop has crashed on me, so I rushed out to buy another one, lol, because sharing a desktop with an 8 year old and a mother-n-law is just not going to cut it, lol! So, with losing my old laptop, I actually lost a lot of my favorites scrappy sites to visits, beside the blogs I have saved here. Okay so this is a pic of Nya that I took of her on the 23rd of July and I just had to play with it. I used paint shop pro (which I absolutely love) just because it is a little easier to navigate

I will admit sketches are a little challenging for me especially when it calls for so much, I usually like to just start scrapping and wherever my imagination may lead me, thats what I end up with.

I know it's been awhile!

I am so sorry for not updating in so long, but I live a busy life, lol. When I say busy, I mean BUSY. So I am able to type now without feeling tired, lol, and share a little of what I have managed to accomplish since my last post.

Quick update also: I fell (bad knees)at work Friday afternoon (June 19th) and freakin broke my right hand ring finger nail in half. I did not even notice until another person on the flight line with me pointed in out. I think I was more embarrassed than anything. Sooooo, I am sent to medical, and they tell me (yes, you guessed it) they have to stick me with needles to numb my finger so they can pull the rest of the nail off! I started freaking out, because one, I think they are going to stick the needle in my nail or near it. But, no the did not after many tears and the bravery of tearing it off myself (it was already detached, just hanging). So they stick me at the base of the finger (still hurt) numbed it up and cleaned it out, gave me good drugs and sent me home. Needless to say this has been a very long couple of days living with this crippled finger, lol. Why is it when you hurt a body part, you and everyone else seem to focus on causing it more pain? Such as my daughter stepping on it (by accident of course).

Now on an awesome note, I have received another great award from a great blogger! You should check out her blog. Her name is Janice and her work is wonderful! Here is her blog. Thanks again Janice and thanks for being patient with me. The Navy is a very busy world!

What A mini Vacation!

Happy Memorial Day!

So I just got back late last night from a great mini vacation. So funny because we only drove about 45 minutes away, but, traffic is sooo hectic we decided to just stay at the Best Western the entire weekend

Also, Morgans birthday was Friday, so we celebrated a bit at the house before we left for the weekend. So this was actually a birthday present for him. Happy Birthday Morgan! I can't believe he is eight now, time sure does fly!

We went to Water Country on Saturday, which was a lot more fun than I expected and the kids really enjoyed themselves. Especialy Morgan. I

have never seen him willing to get on so many rides, lol!

Sunday we went to Busch Gardens! It exceced my expectations. I ad listened to so many others in the past that did not care for it (silly me for that) that I did not want to go. Great great park! I think with this one we spent more time playing games than riding, lol. We got there a little too late, (blame to staying up super late the night before). We ran into some traffic as well. Omg, I wish you all could have seen my husband living out his Lebron James NBA dreams! He spent (so he tells me) 60.00 on the 3 point shoot out contest, he did pretty well, but not well enough to win the PS3 (one that he already freaking owns)!! LOL.

Hey why not! I am on a roll, may as well keep it going right? Well, first off I would just like to say I am now on Twitter, lol! Follow me! I will just rant random things off, but, hey it's addictive. I thik you can just look up Tanisha Boyd and you should find me.

Okay here's a card I did for our blog at The Shoe. It was my turn to run a challenge and challenging it was, even for myself! You had to do a card using a beach theme. It took me all the way until I thought it was due to do it, simple because I did not know what the heck I was going to do! First off, let me just say, I have sooo fallen in love with Bazzil Cardstocks! So that is what I used for this challenge.

Monorams, Oh My!

So last night, I decided once again, despite my better judgement, to stay up late! Not your eleven o' clock late either, try 2am! Yeah, I am serious, and I was definitely tired, I just could not sleep until this card was done. Had I not finished it, it probably wouldn't have gotten done.

Well this card that I worked on was for a blog I stumbled upon in one of my many google searches, lol. Probably not new to you, but it was to me. It's called The Pink Elephant Challenge, and so far I really like it!

So here is the card that I will be submitting, and this will actually be my very first time submitting to anything other than Iftheshoefitsscrapit! I believe the rule was to use a monogra/letter. So I used the letter "F" as my Monogram letter. I actually stamped a sheet of paper, then cut out the same stamp and cut and popped dotted it on top. I stamped each individual letter so to spell out the word FOREVER. Even though it is a simple card, I really had to use my noggin, lol. Great challenge Pink Elephant!!!

A couple of cards

So, I am finally able to add these cards to my blog. We had a couple of challenges on "If the shoe fits". Now one of these challenges I had to use the colors purple and green, yes, purple and green! I tell you that was a challenge for me. I didn't think I was ever going to figure out how to get those two colors to mesh. Both colors are beautiful by themselves, but together was a whole other foe me, lol! Needless to say, I pulled it off and this was what I came up with.

This next card was for the Mother's Day card Challenge. I had a little bit of scrappers block with this as well, (not sure what's up with me, lol). I thought I would make it plain and simple, well, no that was not the case. One thing led to another, butterflies cames into play and hey....you now how the rest goes. Also what I love about this, is I tried something new, I used crackle paint on my stamp, the pink one. I find that it only works well with certain stamps though. A day at the Virginia Beach Zoo

So Sunday my husband gets this great idea to go to the zoo, in 93 degree weather! But, the kids had a great time, so it was all good. I took like a million pictures as usual and my Nya as always posed. I not quite sure why, but I have to bribe my son to let me get photos of him (or sneak them). Morgan will usually let me take them if he sees his sister is getting all of the attention.

See what I mean? Thats Morgan for you though.

Now tell me why Nya had to sit in both chairs, and she did not want to get out of them either!
Now here's one more! We were waiting for the little 2.00 a ride train. Now let me tell you, this train is supposed to take you around the zoo, and show you the animals that in in the outskirt of it. Yeah, tell me why, the trip consisited of half animals, and half construction of the animals habitats that would be there next year! You get what you pay for, right?
I have been a little dissapointed with my pics lately, ever since my lens (70mm-300mm) broke. I hoped to get it fixed within the next week or two so I can try to get back on my game, lol!

Early to rise....whatever!

Tell me why it is 4:36am and I am not in the bed! As tired as I am too, lol, but I guess I needed to get this post on, or it would be another two weeks before I updated. I still have a lot of projects to get done and it seems as if I am running out of time. But make sure to check back, because I am going try to make it point, (keyword is try) to update before the weekend is out.

So I had a color challenge to do, and the colors were pale blue and cream (Beautiful combo by the way) this is what I came up with. It was pretty simple, and I actually wish I had spent more time on it. I used a bit of crackle paint(which I am in love with) around the edges of the title and the journal box. I also used it on the arrow. The sparrow like bird is from inkadinkadoo (of course). Can't quite remember, but I think that border is from Prima, I bought it last minute and used it right away. For those that are new to following me, that is my baby girl Nya, and she is such a poser!

Next I have the "Pink & Brown" not every ones favorite combo, but it is absolutely one of mine! I actually used a technique I have never tried before, I mixed my green glimmer mist with my pink(tattered rose) crackle paint then heat dried until it starting bubbling a bit, to give it an even aged look. I used this on the cute swirly like grunge board. Well ladies on that note, I can't take it anymore, I am beat! Night, or shall I say good morning?

So, I am getting a little better with posting, I think. I will actually post this weekend on some projects I have working on. I'm a busy girl, so it's hard. So on to some good stuff. Updates Finally, LOL!

Oh Wow! Has it realy been two weeks since my last update? Well, shame on me! I have actually got quite a bit done though. So I am going to show you a couple of LO's and Cards I have been working on, hope you enjoy!

Okay, so I had so much fun with LO, it was a sketch challenge from Kristy on our blog, and a fun sketch I do say! This I believe has got to be my most Fav LO to date. You know, I cannot find that minnie mouse purse to save my life? Hmmm...

This a JoyLuck Card I made, you can find the directions on our blog "iftheshoefitsscrapit". But Tracey hosted this challenge, and a challenge it was! The sentiment I have stamped is so true! But I had fun with it. I used some of Tim Holtz's Products. Crackle Paint, mixed with Glimmer Mist.

This next card challenge was hosted by Lesley! We had to take this image and use it in a card, so this was what I came up with. I so love these stamps, Inkadinka doo!

Okay last but not certainly not least, this challenge is from our Sponsor "Scrap-a-doodledoo" the paper was too darn sweet. I really thought this was a cute and innocent kit to play with. I do however think I could of done a lot better with this.

Birthday Wishes

Okay, so it's been bee like what, two weeks since I've last updated? Hmph, and I thought I was getting better! Well anywho, these last two weeks have been go go go! I have managed to squeeze in a couple of projects though, which are featured as well, on our blog " if the shoe fits scrap it". Heehee.

This first project was a project hosted by Lesley. I had to make a card that had at least been embossed twice, so I tried something a little out of my element, I used coasters, embroidery thread, embossed with my cuddle bug and heat embossed using a stamp. I used the thread to hold the two pieces together and covered the thread with flowers. Here is what I came up with.

I am going to add more to this, hopefully this week such as distressing. I believe besides sewing, distressing has got to be one of my most favorite techniques. So when I finish, I will be sure to upload a pic of how it turned out.

Now, for a little non scrap talk; the Ipod touch has got to be one of the coolest MP3 players out there! I have just upgraded from my Zune(microsoft) and spoiled myself with this all in one gadget. I recommend that if you decide to get one, DO NOT get the 8GB, spluge a little and pay a little extra for a 16GB. This little gadget is really cool and lets you hook up wi-fi to the internet, check email, play games, keep notes, phone numbers, calendar, and thats just the tip of the iceberg! I am telling you, normally I would say"GOOGLE IT" no this time "YOU TUBE IT"! No unfortunately I am not being paid for this little ad, darn it!

New future experiments, endeavors; I will be working with grunge board (finally), Tim Holtzs Masks, Sizzix embossing folders, CTMH "Bunny Love" stamps, Distress crackle paint, also from Tim.

Note: Glimmer mist + Grunge Board = Fabulosity!

All right I just got home from a trip I originaly was not supposed to go on, (North Carolina), so I am going to bed, so I can have a fine Navy day in morning, LOL!!!

So this week has been so freakin hectic, I tell ya! Too much to even really talk about, l0l, so I will not bore you with too many details. Just know that the military life and the scrapbooking life are two different animals that mix like oil and water!

~Side Note~ My Pics are starting to cut off for some crazy reason, more than likely it's called "Operator Error" if you know how I can fix it, please, please help me!

It seems as if I just do not have enough time in the day to do what I want and need to do. I have help (mom & mil), but still, that does not totally get me off being a parent to my children and tending to their needs. But, they are a great help!

Next Topic~ So, I have been talking about this blog " http://www.iftheshoefitsscrapit.blogspot.com/" and speaking of, I am hosting a new ATC challenge just for St. patty's day! So what if you aren't Irish, this will really fun for to try if you have not already and have not gotten totally addicted. ATC's, what can I say, they are unique and so your own style and the only rule is that the card be between 2 1/2 and 3 and 1/2 inches. Voila, that's it! So come over and check out this challenge, and guess what it puts you in a drawing for a prize at the end of the month!

So I get a fab award from my friend Lesley yesterday. Talk about too excited! It's my first so I could not help it. Pretty cool huh? Here it is.

Next Topic~ My mom is here! Yay me! I love my mom with my heart and soul, and knows she feels the same about me. So it's pretty cool for her close up her home to come live with us for about a year. We can all keep each other company no matter how crazy we may drive each other, lol. She has already started on a war path, but, in a good way. Today, she covered up the evidence of mydaughters first wall art! Go mom! Oh don't even let me get started on my room! I felt like I was living in her house. But my mom is reat, she keeps me focus and clutter free (which is our next project).

Next Topic~ So I went on Vacation a few weeks back, so my goal is to show at least one pic from the vacation in every post. Enjoy ~ Leave a comment if ya don't mind, I'd love to hear what you think.

What a couple of months this has been! So much has happened since I last wrote. For one I went on a Disney, Sea World and Universal Studios vacation with my kids, my aunt and my cousin. What a time we had! I have too many pictures to count, lol, so better believe they will end up here, hehehe.

Lets see... hmmm... Myself and some friends of mine have started a new blog called, "If the shoe fits...Scrap it"! This is a card that I did today for my friend Tracey, her challenge on our blog was to use the colors orange and lime green. Okay, can I say that was seriously challenging for me? But, I managed to pull through, and this is what I came up with.

Well Today is my mother n laws birthday and at midnight I just could not wait to give her the card I had made her. Needless to say she was suprised and loved it. Now, its back to the hustle and bustle of the holidays, LOL. I have so much to accomplish in this little amount of time. The Christmas shopping is out of the way, now time to catch up with my grocery list. Oh did I mention I have another birthday to celebrate tomorrow? Yes, thats right, my husbands. I need to order him another cake, because the place I ordered it from, called this morning to tell me that their cake decorator was on vacation! Geez! You would think someone would have known. Well, anyway this is the card I made for my Mother n Law, I have not started on my husbands yet.

So, I can finally post my entry I submitted for a callenge I did. The challenge was faux embossing. I dont know, i love the way it looks in person, but not on camera, it seems as if so much is taken away. Then after it's too late, LOL, I notice that I have placed birds on a leaf as if it was a tree! What was I thinking? But I guess that what you get when you work 12 hour or more days and try to squeeze scrapping in at the last minute.

Well anywho... this was Morgans first day of school in our new home. Hopefully we will be here awhile, I know how hard it is being a military brat with both of my parents being Navy, now I have followed their path, he has gone through what I had to. Making new friends is not always the easiest, so I just hope I can stay in this area for quite awhile.

12 month shots long overdue

Well today Nya had to get immunizations and man was she mad at me! Well, only for a bit, at least until she got the sucker in her mouth. She is going to be even more upset, because we have to go back in six months and get her 6 month shot retaken, because they were not entered into the computer nor her shot record.

But I have a tough little cookie and I know she can make it through.

Okay, so I am in a challenge that is run for so many weeks(not really sure how many, I forgot, LOL), but I came in first with my last project. The one with the butterflies. I was quite surprised because there were a lot of really good projects. So this week we had to work with transparancies. Usually with those, I would just throw them in the printer and print different fonts on them and go from there. Well, I tried to do something a little different and I made a LO out of it. I used some distressing techniques as well and I hope that it is appreciated when the voting comes in. I am nervous, because I am going up against a bunch of great woman. I have not added a pic yet, because I do want to find the right one. Enjoy!

Flower Girl

So, I know it has been a while since I last posted, I have definitely got to get more conviction about doing so. I have done a couple of projects since. I really don't have time like I used to now that I have transfered to a new duty station. So the weekends is when I have a few hours to to try and catch up. Well this LO was done for a challenge that I am in over in cafemom. This is my second week and the callenge was faux stitching. This was the first time I had ever tried that technique, I think it was fairly easy but its hard judging your own work. So let me know what you think. The pics are of my daughter Nya and few months back when we visited my mom down in Florida, my mother bought her the purple outfit, which I thought was so cute on her. I swear Nya is my little diva!

Here is another one of my favorites so far. I think also because this is my first time ever playing with raw chipboard and it was quite as hard as I thought, (once a friend gave me a little tip) Thanks Tracey!

There is a few more touches that I want to add to this LO, before I consider it complete. The LO to me is saying either love me or hate with all my flaws! In a million years would I ever thought about taking a picture of myself that close-up. I would have thought, "Are you crazy, I dont want people to see my freckles"! But over the years, I have learned to embrace them, and hey, I would not be me without them.

I absolutely loved working with the Hambly, it makes you think outside of the box, lol! I have more, just cooking up ideas on how to use them, they will really put your creativity to the test!

Nya in The Spring

This is another LO, I had done not too long ago, but something felt like it was missing. So a few nights ago I went back and touched it up. It felt like I gave it a whole new makeover. I am really happy with the outcome and feel myself growing as a scrapper everyday.

I really love these pictures of Nya because they are just so natural and not forced(like I have to do with my 7 year old son, lol). With Nya, I dont have to hear, "Can I do a silly pose"? LOL! If I let him, every pose would be silly, but thats him, so I guess I should just let him be, right?

So yes, it has been awhile since I have blogged (got to better). But so much has happened since. Well I have moved from good ole Maryland down to Virginia! Big difference! I dont feel so home sick for Florida anymore, because Virginia Beach is such a big city and it reminds me of Jacksonville, Fl.

Well today, I finally checked into my command, so hi ho, hi ho, it back to work I go. Less time to scrap, not! I will find time.

This LO was done months ago at a crop I attended in N.J. and that my hubby was so nice to drive me there, but his sister lived not to far, so it worked out!

Feeling Scrappy

So I was actually able to get some scrapping of my own done, after months of doing swaps! Whew, glad those are over and I can take a breather. I love scrapping my kids, my daughter I tend to find easier to scrap than my son, I think thats because I have not made her sick of the camera yet. The first three LO's are a little older, the last were just done this week.
I still have a bit of work left on them though, so they are not completely finished.
When I get time, I will start posting what brands I actually used to do my LO's.

It's been a Long Time Coming

So I have not posted on here in ages. Part of the reason is, my father passed away on the 12th of April. I was really not expecting this at all, but, I guess no one does right?
Sometimes I sit and think, this did not happen, especially to me. I did not lose my father, that only happens to people I know. I have been procrastinating to get on here and write, but I think I am finally string enough to do so.
I tell you what, my father, hahaha, he got on my nerves, and I am sure I got his, but I we loved each other in our own way.
He was very talented, in music and electronics, and I know I could never come close to the type of knowledge he held in that brain of his. He had a studio built for one of the artist he was trying to help make it out of Pensacola. This studio was built in the back yard of my parent house. It was sound proof and all. Eventually he started getting more local singers and rappers into the booth, and I was told he did not play! He did not want you in there if you did not have your lyrics memorized. Dad was about business and he was serious about it.
My father had made friends outside of the music side of his life, even though music was his first love. He was very good with computers and eventually opened up his own company, though very small, Beards Electronics. Everything he made from that went straight into the the studio. Wheather it was a new microphone, or headsets, it all went there.

First Post, Random Thoughts

Well..... how can I start this off? Have you ever just sat and thought, why you were put on this earth? I know I have plenty of times. Sometimes, I don't know, other times I think I do. I know that I am definitely hear for two reasons, God and whatever plan he has for me and my children.

Have you ever wondered, wow things are not like they used to be? Why is it when I now go to Mcdonalds, I feel as if I am paying for a bun and not the meat. Remember as a kid a Big Mac was a BIG Mac? Now it's just a BIG Bun with a side of meat. (Smile)

Reality T.V.- Who doesn't like it? I do, I am not even going to lie. Some I can stand to do without, but it is sooo addictive. How many times have you sat there saying, "Hmph, he/she is stupid, I can't believe they are doing that!" ? But, have you ever thought if they did not, there would not be a show?

Do you truly value friendship? I do, and I feel that true friends can work through anything.....except murder, and may sleeping with your hubby, oh, and not coming to your baby shower when they said they would, and gives you this lame excuse of why they did not. So maybe not everything, but besides that, everything else is petty. Seriously if you think about it, it is probably not as serious as you thought. You have probably been hurt worse by a complete stranger. You are just hurt more because if the label "Friend". You want Jesus to forgive you, forgive your friend.

I do feel that I should be able to talk to my friend/friends about anything without fear of being stabbed in the back, or riddiculed for anything that I do. There is a lot more I can say, but I will just leave this as it is for now.

I dislike fast talkers, telemarketers that can't no for an answer, and mayo on my burger & drama.

I love my family, scrapbooking, chatting with my new found friends & Ghost Whisperer.

Random questions, that I do not always wonder about, but would interesting to know.

Can a person with 12 toes run faster than someone with 10?

Why do hitchhikers stick out their thumbs for a ride, why not just point your finger?

Why is it when we choke on something, we say it went down the wrong pipe? Since when was there two?

Why won't Tom from myspace change that damn picture?

Why wait behind ten cars at the gas station, when you can pull staright up to the retractable hose pump?

Why would Grocery Store build 12 checkout lanes, only to have 4 people

work each night, 3 people on a payday. maybe the stratagy is the longer you wait in line, the more probablity you are going to buy extra crap in in the checkout lane stands. That really irks me.
